Elder Candace BlackstockElder Candice Blackstock currently resides in Rockingham County, Nc with her husband, Deacon James Blackstock and her sons, Tyriq Moyer and Quinton Blackstock. She is currently serving as the Director of Operations for the “Savages” youth football program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2018) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Elder Blackstock was raised in the Smyrna Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Preston Graves, where she joined the church family at age 9. She served as a junior usher and the youth choir, and served on the usher board, young adult choir, and as assistant secretary of the youth department as she grew older. As an adult she joined New Bethel Restoration Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Freda Blackstock-Ziglar. While there she served in a variety of positions and roles, including church secretary (10 years), usher board, praise team, and hospitality/kitchen committee. In October 2011, Elder Blackstock was ordained as a Missionary and in September 2016 she was ordained as an Elder, again under the leadership of Pastor Blackstock-Ziglar. In September 2020 Elder Blackstock became a member at True Word Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Scott Dalton and has been an active member since her decision to join the body. She serves as an associate minister, church secretary, praise team member, and in the audio-visual department. |
